Well, so far today...I slept in LATE. Must have needed the sleep!

I got our friends' little girl's bear dress fixed. Had to fix the ruffle on the bottom of the dress. Flimsy chiffon...what a pain in the you know where! But it's done and ready for Miss Libby to pick it up. One more thing out of the house!

I'm going to work on bindings today. (I hate bindings) I have to bind Cub's quilt and I quilted up 2 baby panels this week for another friends new twin Grandsons. Then, I think I'm going to dig out the F&F mystery and work on the borders...or I may just get the backing prepped for my oldest brothers quilt. That came in the mail Thursday...ordered it on Ebay...but the color (kink of a mottled olive green) is just perfect for the quilt! It's so hard to tell sometimes by looking at your computer monitor.

DH is working another 48 this weekend, so I get to have a "Sew for yourself Sunday" as well!   Maybe I WILL get some of these UFOs finished up. Was digging around the other night trying to get everything in one place (container). I found several tops that are ready to be quilted, so need to get backings lined up for them. I might try to do that later today when I make a trip into town for some "smoke color" monopoly thread.

Well, off to do baby bindings. Should go fast...they are only about 36" x 45". Perfect for their tiny size. One was 4# 7oz. and the other was 4# 12oz. They were a month and a half early, so were still nice sized babies!

I had a great morning sewing from 8-12, but then I took the kids in the pool until almost 4. I've been catching up on the computer and plan to sew the rest of the night. Take-out for dinner...yay! This morning I worked on a mystery quilt by Bonnie Hunter that I found in Quiltmaker magazine. Tonight I think I might start to quilt my spiderweb quilt that I finished piecing last week.

Baby quilts are bound and in the wash now. I'll take pics before I wrap them up.

Now on to the next binding job...it'll take me forever!!

I got all my apple appliques freezer papered, starched & ironed. Tomorrow I hope to finish my leaves so I can complete my apple pie quilt.

I finished putting the blocks together from my class (the one I'm teaching)--put the top on the WIP thread--hope to finish the borders tomorrow. I see the photos don't show the center very well (I also had them do at least 2 types of applique), so I'll take more piccies.

Sounds like everyone had a very productive day! Scraphappy-- here's a pic of my spiderweb quilt top. I didn't get a chance to work on it tonight because my daughter spied some Amy Butler prints in my stash and I decided to use them to start piecing a top for her instead.

Yesterday I quilted the Snug top, today I'm quilting a donation quilt for my guild. Next weekend I guess I'll be binding! :)

Well, I didn't do the binding on Cub's quilt. That's on the list for today. Denise- I don't do anything by hand either. It is done by machine from start to finish. I've had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands...I'm not going there again!

I got the backing loaded on the quilt frame for my brother's quilt. Washed up several different fabrics for backings. Got the baby quilts wrapped up (yes, I got pics...I'll post those later). I'm finishing up Ashtyn's Sock Monkey now. Just have to add the ribbons around the neck and tail. Only been waiting for 6 months to finsh this one! She was still to little for it then, so it got pushed to the back burner.

Made a flying trip to town last night and picked up my thread for the binding, so I'm ready to start on it now.

Catch you later!

Jami

I got the binding done on Cub's quilt!

I didn't have to bad of a weekend. Cub's quilt finished except for the label, Ashtyn's sock monkey finished, David's (brother) backing washed and pinned on the quilt frame, 2 baby quilts bound, washed and wrapped, 2 backing fabrics washed and ready to be pressed and sewed into backings.

Whew...makes me tired.

I finished the RR quilt but not until late last night as I had been devoting a lot of time to the church Reformation quilt banner. That is ready for binding and the design pieces are ready for the first sewing step. I also worked at new projects to use up all the extra pieces and leftover cuts that occurred while making the RR. All in all, I feel like I made a lot of progress over Sat and Sun.
