well, i hope i don't jinx myself, but it looks like i just might get me a "sew day" this saturday!!!!  and since i have been travelling or otherwise occupied on everysinglesolitary "sew for yourself saturday" that the Q&N has hosted this entire year to date, i am scheduling a Sew for Yourself Saturday this weekend!!!!!!!!!!

don't know yet what i'm gonna work on and it might not even be for myself, but who cares?!  i plan to spend the day with mr. singer making beautiful seams together . . .

I'm a sewing spurt right now though no all dayers as my body can't take that but I am making progress on the current jobs. I know the "sew for yourself" days can be a real bonus if you still go off to work on a daily basis.

Italy Kristin!! I am so jealous! I hope you have a blast!

I think I shall be sewing as well... haven't been able to sew since the March retreat, but that is what I have planned this weekend! Mostly for my Sapphire and Sammy, but since Sapphire is still inside my belly, I guess she is still part of myself... I know, I am a dork.

Let's see... first I shall put together the leaders for the Mid-arm. Just got the rest of the velcro for them last Friday but haven't had a chance to do that.

Then, and this is in no particular order, I need to:

Finish my quilt for Sapphire
Piece and Quilt Sammy's Brown Bear Quilt
Finish my crocheted afghan for Sapphire (this is almost done, just need to pick up some satin)
Quilt Mom's Appliqued blankie for Sapphire

So not much really....

Oh, Kristin - Mark & I went to Italy last year. I absolutely LOVED it! Can't wait to go back. We were on a Med. cruise, so we saw Greece, Malta, Monaco and France, too. In Italy we went to Sicily, Amalfi, Rome and Florence. Where are you going? You MUST take a gazillion pictures and tell us all about it when you get back!

Now, to "Sew for Yourself"...well, I am SOOOO embarassed... I have a snug top from last Dec. that has been patiently waiting in my closet for me to quilt it...that is my plan for this weekend. Miss Cindy, I really am embarassed and SO sorry it has taken so long to get to it! Anyway, hopefully I can get it all quilted this weekend and get it on its way.

Does organizing the thread bin count? It was a mess and frustration hit top peak when I needed to set up the machine. With that I finally thought of modifying a thread rack with DHs help. It'a sll done and organized.
