Location: Golden Shores, Arizona | Well, for those outside of US, I know you have to pay customs charges if you roder, but don't know how much, but if we buy and ship as a 'gift', do you have to pay fees? There are a few lovely 30s on sale at Quilt in a Day for $3.00 right now (less than 2 pounds!!! Don't know why my computer doesn't have that 'L' symbol....) and just a wee bit more than 2 Euros, less than 4 Canadian dolloars, I think!

just look at pages 10 & 11 for examples (there's also some RJR ones)--also has other 30s in other categories for $5 or more, but these are the ones in clearance! |

Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada | If it's from a friend, no customs, but if it comes from a store (I know I pay a bit for Connecting Threads orders), I think I do, but maybe not - golly, that sounds so uncertain!! But I haven't ordered much online, so I don't really remember. I do know we have to pay GST on stuff coming in.
Wow, that's a great price!!!

Location: Golden Shores, Arizona | Here's some that would also do "Quilter's calicos", most for $3 yd. http://www.marshalldrygoods.com/store/index.php?l=product_list&c=69
Not sure if they ship outside of US (but any of us could order them and ship them on, I would think.) Can't remember what they charge to ship in US (I don't pay for shipping from QIAD because I pick up my orders once a month when I go to class, might not be up to Canada or over to UK or OZ in time for this if I waited until 2nd Tues. in March!) Last time I ordered from Marshall's I got about 20 yds and shipping was around $13. I always spend $50 at Connecting Threads (free ship) and $35 at fabric.com (free ship). I think it's around $5-$7 for 5-6yds in US.... those same 5-6 yards can be shipped to Canada for 9.95 or UK for 11.95, I think. |

Location: Hagersville, Ontario, Canada | Ladies hold on to your pins - 30's fabric at the local spots here run from 10.00 - 15.00 mtr. Sometimes you can get a sale for under 10.00. Am scouting the costs tomorrow- ooops I guess I mean today.lol . Got to find some tire fabric for those VW's. Let you know what I find.

Location: Far Northern California | I have talked to Jacqui about this, and she says that she has to PAY to get things from the PO. Gifts and packages that are over $8 I think she said, she might of said $5. So she told me when filling out the customs forms (I send her magazines from time to time) to put GIFT on the form and put it is under $5....no matter how much it really is worth. That way she doesn't have to pay to get it.
