Oh Denise, that is such a cute, bright baby quilt!! Great job on it and good luck with the sale.

Your block party surprise  quilt is very lovely too. I like your setting.

Well, I posted this before, but I don't know where it went!

Agnes, your cushion is very nice! I love the way you use "leftovers" from other projects.

Denise, the baby quilt is so cute! My guild had a quilt sale at our last show. Instead of paying to put something in to sell, the guild kept 10% of the selling price. I think the seller had to price their own quilts. We are doing it again next year, so it must have gone pretty well!

I like your other quilt, too. It would make a great "guy" quilt!

This is another mini I made yesterday. It's basically the same design as the one I decided to keep ( ), except it's only 8" square. It will go to the AAQI.

Lovely works, all. It's so nice to see finished work to inspire me.

Agnes, what a wonderful cushion! Love the colors.
Denise, those quilts are great! That's such an original way to set your BPS blocks. I'm still trying to figure mine out.
Donna, those miniatures are gorgeous. It's something I'm planning on trying. I just keep putting it off for fear of all those tiny pieces! I'll have to start cutting one soon so that maybe I can have some handwork. A little at a time, right?

denise, your BPS quilt is amazing!  and the baby quilt is too darling for words!  i agree - it will sell quickly.  is this something you intend to do more of?  i mean make quilts for sale?

Thanks again, ladies! The latest one was paper pieced, too. Delia, the good thing is they don't take long to make! (Well, that George S. one did!)

I'm about to start working my way through a book called "Traditional Mini Quilts" and for the most part they are NOT paper pieced. We'll see how that goes. If it's too hard I can always find or draw the blocks in EQ and print out foundations! LOL

Thanks for the encouraging words everyone....

Cindy, I do not plan on selling more quilts.... I usually prefer to just give them away..... I know that we can never recover the cost of materials and time... to make it worth the effort to actually make anything on a quilt.... I've tried selling other crafty items before. If you don't work outside the home, it sometimes works out, but my home time is too precious.

I consider my quilty time my "therapy time". If I feel like I have finish a project that is for pay, I'm afraid it would take away from my creative therapy benefits....

Since this was our first boutique at the quilt show, I am putting an item in to help fill the booth, more than to make money for myself.....

Hope Carter is feeling better soon.

Denise, I agree. Quilting for $$s would be 'work' and not 'play'. I'd rather play and give away (or keep and enjoy)!

Denise & Donna, you guys are great! i love all the colors :)
Denise, you are practically giving that thing away :) it will be a very quick sell, its prob. gone already! my dad asked me when i was going to start selling things.....no can do! it takes so much time, each purse would be $1000 haha. and it would take all the fun out of it.
