I have attached the instructions for the first part of the Saturday Special, Hot Pan Holders and Wine Glass Coasters. I will post instructions for the other projects as the day progresses. Have fun and let me know if you have any questions.

Click here to visit the HGTV site for the fabric bowl pattern. Oh, I can't wait to see these from everyone!

Don't forget to post a note or two as you go, so I can know when everyone is about ready for the next bit of instructions. Here is my Hot Pad and Wine Coaster... ain't I fast?

Good Morning!

Thank you, Jess, for posting these instructions and helping us along! Nice pattern! I like the way you have a place to put your hands inside!

I am making these to use something pretty as hot pads on my table, too.

I have been here ... but I had an interuption as someone came to the door just as I was ready to start ...

I do have a question ....

I am using a print fabric for my backings on the pot holders ... but I am thinking to use a plain piece on the inside to save on my print fabric ... so before I sew ...

Which piece will end up on the INSIDE ... the one on the bottom ... or the one just under the folded top pieces?

TIA! :) Pat

The one that will end up on the inside of the Pot Holder is the one below the batting in the first picture, NOT the one that you stack the fabric on. The one you stack the folded fabrics on will end up being the actual backing. Clear as mud?

These were just too much fun to make!!!! Thanks Jess for such a fabulous Saturday Special project!!!! These were made out of the fabrics I have for my kitchen and dining room curtains, so it all matches. The red came out a bit orange in the pic but it is actually brick red!!

Well done Cindy!! I love the fabrics and Billy Lynne is going to be very pleased I bet!! What a sweet Momma you are. I am making all of these for my DMIL for Mother's Day, I think she will love the fabrics.

Speaking of fabrics, I was going through my stash to find bits and pieces for this, and I ran across the ugliest fabric... I am sure I bought it to use as a tree trunk somewhere... anyway, when I put it with the other fabrics for this project, it went great! And it looks super good in the placemat, which you will see later. Here is the ugly....

Hello ... I have two pot holders done ... but I am having trouble posting a picture ... and they are so pretty, too.  I will keep trying to post.

I found I had to switch to my walking foot as my machine did not like going thorugh all those folded layers of fabric.

:) Pat
