Don't forget tomorrow is our first "sew-for-yourself" Saturday. If you are working on some of those projects for yourself, things you want to get caught up on, or whatever, please share with us throughout the day, on this thread.

The idea is to work on something that is not stressful or on a timeline. Sit and relax and enjoy a project you never seem to make time for. IF, however, you feel better getting some of those stressful projects out of the way, well I suppose that is sewing for yourself as well. Go for it and share with us!

Not sure what I am going to work on yet, but I think I am going to try and break out my Quilty Corner blocks and see what I want to do with them. I think some of the other Quilty Corner Swappers will be doing the same.

Oh, fun! A day for me! Will you be enjoying a day for yourself tomorrow?

I have been on a serious UFO marathon for the past two weeks. I started with a list of 17 on Jan 1. 3 are throws barely started to be cut. One of these is the Winter Mystery. I have finished 4 UFOs and I am working on 6 more presently. Which one gets worked on depends totally on the mood. So it shouldn't be hard to join in tomorrow.

Good to see so many of us are taking a day to Sew for Ourselves! I have to run a couple of errands, but when I get back, the world is my oyster!

I've been working on this Pooh quilt. I just finished quilting it so I just have the binding left to do. As soon as that is on I'll take a picture for you.

This sweet sixteen pattern that I used (the same we're using for the next baby quilt here!) is SOOOOOOOOOOOO easy and fast.

After that I'm going to get these charity blocks knocked out, then I might switch gears a little and work on my cross stitch for awhile. I'd really like to get it done soon, and I'm about 2/3 of the way done now. I have a new one I want to start but I refuse to let myself until this one is done.

I am going to sew more than one block and decide later which to send ... um ...

I think ... ... Pat

All right...I am ready to start sewing! I think for now I'm going to work on these 2 quilt tops I have in progress and try to get them done. Then I need to do my BOM for the Feb. guild meeting (so I don't forget!).

No actual sewing yet but I have been doing sewing related stuff all morning. I sorted some of the upcoming projects into bins, complete with any directions, notes, etc. I pulled out the floor frame to get ready to tie a baby quilt. I was sitting here with loose ends last night and I would have worked on it had it been out. Now I plan to cut the backing and batting for a QAYG table runner.

Sewing? Who has time to sew??? I have a checkerboard to get completed this weekend and the directions written up. Hopefully Tuesday they'll (the directions) be on my blog. Then .... I really need to get a digital camera or something so I don't have to go here and yon to get piccies made!!!

I do have a quilt to finish up for my niece, but it'll have to wait. The checkerboard is next, then a garter (crochet) for a friend who is getting married hehe.

OK, the endless mending and hemming DH's pants is done. AND I've shoveled twice (we're under a winter snow warning and the snowblower broke yesterday - the part won't be in until later next week). Can I do my stuff now?? I'm going for the charity blocks next. Hope everyone else is having SOME fun. Even if it's not a whole day, it is nice to get a bit of time to work on our stuff for a change!

Hi Everybody!

I made a few more charity blocks this morning. And have worked on my Sweet sixteen snowman quilt. I am at a standstill on it now though, as I dont think I have some fabric for an inner border, and I need some to make the pattern work. So I am still looking at what would be suitable.

I really should be doing some handsewing...

Hope you all are having a quilty day!

Ah, well. What a sorry effort I have made! I still have not brought out the sewing machine. Got the newsletter done, errands run, etc. Made a couple of mistakes on some orders I sent out this morning - must be pregnancy brain kicking in again. Harumph.

Off to fix a mistake and send another package. Blah. Hubby is in here working on shelves again, so it is all drilling and noise. Sammy is, of course, sleeping right through it all in the very next room. Hehe.

Here's hoping I get to sew today... Must try harder next sew for myself Saturday.... hehe.

Well, I started sewing late, had some household chores to do.... but I've been at the machine now for about an hour and ahalf. Made myself wait to log on, in fear that I'd get sidetracked and not get off the computer.

I finished the machine quilting on a charity quilt we worked on the other nite. It needs binding cut. It's so scrappy, I can't make up my mind. I'll finish that later...

I got the stitch in the ditch straight quilting done on the floral pastel I've been working on for years! Now I need to go make a sandwich and then put the free motion foot on to do the inside of the blocks. The applique border will be last. I'll post pics when I get further along. DH is watching the Barret Jackson auction, so I'm drooling over cars as well.

sounds like we are all trying to get misc done as well as try to sew. Keep going girls! It's still early here on the west coast. Only 2:14. See ya all later.

Jenn - can't wait to see pics of the pooh quilt.
