we have another Sew for YOURSELF Saturday on the calendar, ladies!!  if you find yourself with a free saturday tomorrow, sit down at your sewing machine and then pop in and post comments & pics on this thread and share your project with others in this virtual quilting bee!

the idea of course is to sew on a project that is deadline- and therefore stress-free.  but like jess mentioned on the first SFYS, if completing a project that simply must get done, well, this is the day!

alas, as for myself, i will be traveling to MS this saturday for billye lynne's wedding shower - but i am looking forward to seeing pics here when i return home monday!!

Tomorrow looks pretty free for sewing. I also now have a camera so I can share progress pics.

Well, if I MUST......
I was hoping to spend the day sewing - the first and only Saturday this month that I don't have something going.

I'm going to take a trip to Midland. We have a necessary trip to Barnes & Noble to do (YAY) ... that means I get a Starbucks Cafe Mocha ...... yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Most of my time right now is spent crocheting and developing patterns. I'm making a rather cool garter for a friend who's getting married. You'll never guess the color she picked! DEEEEEP PURPLEEEEEEEEEEEE ..... I'll post a pic when I get it done :)

Me, too, Char...this is my first free weekend since early Jan! And I'm planning some power sewing. I do have a quilt on the frame with a deadline, so it will be first up. After that we'll see....

Cindy, weren't you in MS for the last SFY Saturday? Have a great time at the shower!

well....I posted my list of projects on one of the other threads here somewhere, but if my kit arrives in the mail tomorrow it will get bumped to the top of my list. Otherwise I'll be finishing binding then heading on to the diaper bag.

I'll be sewing for myself tomorrow. We had a sew day in town today and it continues tomorrow. I worked on a Nickle Quilt pattern all day, but don't have a lot to show for it. (There's always LOTS of CHATTING going on & seeing what everyone else is doing!) I'm still working on the same quilt tomorrow...hopefully I'll be able to get some of the blocks sewn together so I'll have something to show for 2 days of sewing! This pattern I'm using makes 2 quilts at the same time (you only use 1/2 the blocks in one quilt, left units in one and right units in the other), so I'm actually making 2 quilts at once with a little more sewing needed on the second one. Scrappy reds, blues and neutrals. I like how it is turning out so far. I used to swap a lot of Nickel Squares with another group, so I have a really nice variety of fabrics going in this.

Well, I best get to bed so I can get up early and get to town to sew. I'll check in tomorrow night with my days progress.

ooh Dorian I like the sound of that, except that I'm the only parent here today so that might be difficult. It's me and the 3 boys today. Ashley is on a trip with her stepmom and Zach has drill duty this weekend....gah! The mail wont be here for another two hours.....hurry up and bring my kit already!!!

Hey, gals...I'm almost done quilting my friend's baby quilt. I finished going across and just turned it to do the short borders; took a break for lunch. Laundry is going well...I may decide to go on a little shopping trip later this afternoon.

After I finish quilting I want to make my BOM blocks for the March guild meeting, and attach the binding to the quilt. After that, who knows! I may start working on my Easter dress, even though Easter isn't till April.

LOL Jenn, it SEEMS like I am the only parent today. The big kids are helping Dad outside, so Carson is going back and forth wanting attention and no one to play with LOL. And then I have to take time out to make lunch, I have nothing 'grabable'. Sigh~

So I am hanging out here resting my feet while cooking lunch. I am almost done cutting everything, just have Fab F to cut. Then I can go on to sewing

Well I got a late start, and took a break to get the oil changed in my car, but I got the uniblocks done and ready to mail.  Also got a couple other charity blocks done for Sunshine Quilters (hgtv board).  After dinner I'm going to try to finish the tablerunner and placemats I started last month
