Use your choice of panel(s) to create anything you wish … (not all of the panel need be used, but a piece of the panel MUST be featured in your design) … you may add other fabrics of your choice to create …  a bag, quilt, quilt top, wallhanging, shirt, vest … be as creative as you can!!


The entries will be judged on the most creative use of the panel. 


Send the photo of your completed item(s) by July 31st to me or Cindy and we will post it in the album.


An album has be set up to show all the panel options and to post photos of completed challenge creations for members to vote for their favorite Panel Challenge creation!

Important dates to remember for this challenge:


Sign-ups will be accepted until May 31st.


A photo of your completed challenge creation(s) must be sent by July 31st


A poll will be set up after July 31st to determine the winner(s).

I may just do this one - my daughter is a black belt in Kung Fu and loves the chinese stuff, especially in blacks and grays and a hint of red. If it's not in yet, I will see if I can find it online, for size info, so I can start designing - her birthday is July 23, so this would be done just in time for that!

This sounds fun!

Cindy ... I have my Sisterhood of Quilting panel to use ... but I am wondering if I just might want to try one of the other panels ...

... that Geisha Girl does look very nice

... and there is a Saturday Special coming up in May using these kits on May 23rd ...

the geisha is intriguing and calling to me....I need to ponder this one though for a bit to see what I can get off my plate before then. Is there a picture or link somewhere to what other fabrics are in the kit for that panel?

I have a panel that I bought in Tomball that I'm not sure what to do with yet, either, so I may do that instead of the others and participate "in spirit"....or I could finish the panel I started 4 years ago...

jenn, jess does not yet have the geisha kits up yet, so no link right now.  we'll let you know as soon as there is tho . . . gerda is interested as well!

the challenge is only for the panels listed above - so if the one you bought in tomball was from the Q&N Store, then it should be good to go . . . sorry, but your 4-yo panel won't count for the challenge . . .   . . . but we would still like to see it when you complete it

I'm not sure why the Geisha is the only one that comes with a complete kit? Seems a mite odd to me! I'm not complaining, just wondering why. I would definitely prefer JUST the panel, don't like the other fabrics. Well, maybe Jess can make a different kit for me?? guess I'll ask when she posts the kit.

yeah I know they wouldn't "qualify" but I'm weighing getting a UFO out of my room which will please my loving husband, vs buying something new for him to shake his head at, lol!
